Baseball is always awesome everyday of the week during the season but today on America’s 250th the @Pirates vs @Nationals game they pitched a perfect game.
First the Red, White & Blue numbers on the jerseys for the numbers and hat logos. This just cost me some $$$$$ b/c you know I am going to need one in a @Cubs now. The most awesome come in the bottom of the 6th when the @Pirates made a pitching change. In todays game most of the reliever pitchers run in to the mound from the bullpen. NOT today however as the @Pirates pitcher used the “Bullpen Cart!”
As someone that has watched thousands of baseball games either in person or always on the TV during season this was great to see. The Bullpen Carts have been around since the 1950 but they really peaked during the 1970’s and as a ‘75 model in year of birth this was awesome. There needs to be a major resurgence in the use of these carts as it will make the fan experience even better. Now there will be some out there that like to see the pitcher run on the field with the music. Not this fan, decorate those carts and lets get back to old school baseball….
You also know that as a @Cubs fan I dislike the @Brewers so just FYI The Milwaukee Brewers were the last team to phase out this tradition. Thus losing this great iconic part of baseball. Please let this “blog” reach millions and one of those millions be MLB Commissioner Rob
