WOW JUST WOW how can a D1 University that has the money that University of Arkansas has drops two programs???? Let me tell you how in my thoughts!
They overpay people at the expense of others and their dreams. Listen as a fat guy I could never play tennis but it is a sport and a sports that takes talent in so many ways. I tried it in my earlier days just playing around and the back and forth, stopping and cutting on a dime all while trying to hit a small ball over a net >>>>>> not for this gut #epicfailure
Now back to the matter at hand, Arkansas AD and the people that made this call should be ashamed. What about the kids that love Arkansas and play tennis and maybe their dreams to play for Arkansas??? You just dumped on that b/c you suck at managing money. YOU ARE THE UofA for the love of everything holy!!!! I feel for the current players as they know at the end of this season it is all over. They will transfer and take their talents to another University. This state will probably lose them as a resident in the future as well. Heck I know I would!!!
Hopefully this can be resolved and these sports can be saved. Tennis is HUGE in NW Arkansas and as the #1 University in the State the admin needs to lead by that. To the current players and Coaches please know that this fan wishes you the best and truly sorry this is happening. All the years of work just for one University to crash it….
