Minding my business today as I always do to pay respect to that diploma on my wall in that degree then the alert happens on the IPHONE about a baseball card selling for $10 MILLY!!!
My first thought was “who in the hell is going to rack of $10 MILLY for a baseball card?” I had to open it, some dude in Florida rips open a 2026 Topps Chrome pack and there it was >>> The 1 of 1 OHTANI Dual Gold Logoman card.
I bet this guy pissed down both legs, had the shakes and may have been boarder line heart attack. Now back to the $10 MILLY>>>>> after the guy probably dried himself off made a few phones call in their network and moved the card for the $10 MILLY to a group of collectors that includes some “shark tank” investors.
Personally, I just do not understand the baseball card collector but then again no one ever accused me of being smart ether :) I guess it is capitalism 101 much like people buy crypto. Im just an old show box cash guy b/c if the poop hits the fan one day????? I think people will want cash, pigs and chickens and thing needed to eat and hunt.
This also teaches us that this world has plenty of money and when that luck hits you like this guy today you can get yours….. Still I cannot get over $10MILLY for a baseball card. I also did not know until today that this is the 3rd highest card sold. I knew about Mickey Mantle but was supported to see a Jordan & Kobe was second.
Now in the coming years some yuppie will pay big money for a LeBron card. I will be here to haze them when it happens!!!!!
